At Huisdecoratie, we take great care in packaging and delivering your beautiful indoor plants, stylish planters, and fragrant home decor items. Here’s what you need to know about our shipping process:
Order Processing
We process all orders within 1-2 business days. You will receive a confirmation email with tracking information once your order has been shipped.
Please note: We ship worldwide, excluding some Asian countries and remote areas. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and customs processing.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of our blooming houseplants, elegant planters, or scented home fragrances. If you’re not happy with your purchase, we offer a simple return and exchange policy.
Our Return Policy
- You have 15 days from the date of receipt to request a return
- Products must be in their original condition and packaging
- Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, unless the product is damaged or defective
- Some products are excluded from returns (see below)
Step-by-Step Return Process
- Submit a Return Request
Within 15 days of receiving your order, email us at [email protected] with:- Subject line: “Retouraanvraag – [Your Order Number]”
- Content: Order number, your name, product(s) for return, reason for return, preferred solution (refund/exchange)
- Attachments: Photos of the product (if applicable)
- Wait for Our Response
Our team will review your request within 2 business days and send you:- Return approval with instructions
- Return label (if applicable)
- Special packaging instructions for fragile items like plant baskets or hanging planters
- Ship Your Package Back
Carefully pack the product in its original packaging (just as we carefully package our delicate houseplants) and send it to: Huisdecoratie Retouren

- Confirmation & Resolution
Once we receive and inspect your return:- For refunds: We’ll process your refund within 5 business days
- For exchanges: We’ll send the replacement product according to your preferences
Refund Details
Refunds are processed using your original payment method:
- Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 3-10 business days processing time by your bank
- PayPal: Usually visible within 24 hours
The original shipping costs will not be refunded, unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
Non-Returnable Items
Due to hygiene reasons and the nature of certain products, the following items cannot be returned:
- Fragrance oils and interior perfumes (opened packages)
- Bouquets (fresh flowers)
- Candles and scented candles (opened or used products)
For these products, we only accept returns if they are unused and in their original, sealed packaging.
Special Policy for Plants
Our green and flowering houseplants are living products. If your plant arrives damaged:
- Take photos of the damage within 48 hours of receipt
- Send these along with your order number to us
- We’ll send you a new plant or process a refund
Please note: Small variations in size and shape are natural with living plants.
